Check out a fuzzy live single from The Stammer (playing The Fire on 7/24)
The Stammer is a new four-piece out of Philly that make fuzzed-out rock with just a splash of punk thrown into the mix. Last February, the group released their self-titled debut EP which seems to blend The Cure and The Talking Heads with a punk edge on songs like “Same Lines” and “The Last Time.” Earlier this week, the group released a live single featuring a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Femme Fatale” and a live version of “Same Lines.” And while the cover isn’t exactly their strongest moment, the live version of “Same Lines” really shows off the band’s live skills and their unique sound, which you can dig further into on The Stammer EP. Check out “Same Lines” below and if you like what you hear you can watch The Stammer play live and in person at The Fire July 24th.
