Video Premiere: “Modern Boy from 7 Cities” by Moreland & Arbuckle (playing Free At Noon this Friday)
Roots rockers Moreland & Arbuckle are playing WXPN’s Free At Noon this Friday, August 2nd. They just released a new album, 7 Cities, on Telarc Records. Guitarist Aaron Moreland, singer/harmonica player Dustin Arbuckle, and new drummer Kendall Newby have crafted one of the best blues influenced rock records of the year. 7 Cities is a concept album, and tells the story of Spanish explorer Coronado and his search for the fabled Seven Cities of Gold. Moreland & Arbuckle started as an acoustic duo in Wichita, Kansas in 2001 and evolved into an electric power trio over the years blending rural Mississippi Hill Country blues, R&B, and rock. Get ready to boogie – if blues rock is your bag (and you dig ZZ Top, the Black Keys and Gary Clark, Jr.) you don’t want to miss this show. RSVP here. Below, watch the video for “Modern Boy from 7 Cities” from 7 Cities.
