Made In America map and set times released, local artists added, things looking awesome
With fewer than three days to go until Made in America kicks off, the festival released some of the final details of the show, including the set times (read them after the jump) and the festival map, which you can see above or examine in all its full-scale glory here.
Other big news is the addition of a couple local bands to the already teeming lineup. The event got flack from local blogs and promoters when no Philly artists were on the initial lineup; there’s even a Made In Philly unofficial companion festival happening the night before to showcase some up-and-comers in the local hiphop, R&B and pop scene.
With the full lineup announcement, though, comes official news of something that’s been quietly announced from a few artists this past week: the Skate Park Stage – in Paine’s Park along the Schuylkill Banks Trail not the existing skate park along the Schuylkill Banks, but a temporary one installed for the Festival – which will feature Philly epic punk five-piece Restorations, as well as buzzing Doylestown-bred melodic hardcore crew Balance and Composure on the Saturday lineup. And if we expand our definition of “local” to include North Jersey (a stretch, we know), then The Front Bottoms might fit the bill too, and heck, those kids feel like family anyway.
Below, listen to Balance and Composure’s “Tiny Raindrop.” After the jump, read the schedule and make your weekend plans.
