When you hear The City and Horses play, you can’t help to think ‘why haven’t I stumbled on these guys before?’

Fronted by leading man Marc Louis, the band is a beguiling lo-fi folk project featuring two members from Brooklyn and three from Philadelphia. They mix indie pop riffs with chamber / synth influences creating the perfect Belle and Sebastian meets Sufjan Stevens sound. The eclectic, fun-loving group celebrated their junior release Strange Range this past June; you can listen to (and download) it in its entirety via bandcamp here. Want to hear more?
