Watch Ron Gallo’s moving cover of The Lawsuits’ “Anybody’s Girl” (playing Boot and Saddle 1/30)

Local musician Ron Gallo (of Toy Soldiers) recently recorded his own acoustic rendition of The Lawsuits’s “Anybody’s Girl” for Root Down In The Shadow’s Cover Club series. While the original is swinging and upbeat, Gallo’s unique vocal tone is emotional and just tears at your heart strings. To top it off, he relates it to a certain heartbreaking film from 2004: “If the original is the kiss scene in The Notebook where they run at each other on the dock, then this is the scene where he builds the house”.
