Philly Drum Project to kick off Make Music Philly on June 21st and encourages others to join in

Get ready to hear the pounding beat of the drums when Philly Drum Project kicks off this year’s Make Music Philly on June 21st. The local organization will perform “A Play-Along Percussion Party” presented by XPN. The party features a few of the PDP members, but you don’t have to be a member to play in June. PDP is encouraging community members to bring along a drum of their choice and join in on the improvisational performance. Some suggestions include tom tom, cymbal, djembe, cowbell, or you can even create your own makeshift percussion instrument. For more information about the event, visit the Facebook event page.
