Though he’s been based in Brooklyn for the better part of a year, Andrew Balasia and his electronic pop project Gracie started out in Philadelphia so we still like to keep an ear out for new material from him, like this week’s new single and probable summer jam “Spilt Milk.”  Coming several months after the group’s last Work it Out EP, the track features a new live band and Balasia’s signature bubbly synth production.  It’s one of his catchiest songs yet, with playful vocal pacing layered over some classic eighties synth sounds and a richness provided by live drums, bass and guitar.  Stream and download the track below and revisit Gracie’s 2012 Key Studio Session here.
