Listen to Nice Guys, the debut EP from emotional Philly punks Twin Pines

This week local punk band Twin Pines released their latest EP, Nice Guys, and it packs an emotional punch. Twin Pines (whose band name makes a nod to the classic 80s movie Back to the Future), consists of Alex Lindquist on drums, Greg Benedict and Justin Nazario on guitar, and Joe Sawa on bass.

Nice Guys covers the emotional ground of saying goodbye to those we hold close, especially in tracks like “So Long, Brother”. Poignant lyrics, like “I’ll break the things you left inside my head,” demonstrate the pain of breaking up a relationship. The lyrics are accompanied by a raw guitar-playing (as well as the occasional passionate scream) which helps the emotions really come to life.
