After playing a fantastic set at this year’s XPoNential Festival and a great Free at Noon a few weeks back, excitement for Philly’s Strand of Oaks and their outstanding new record HEAL is high. Today, we got word that the band’s two homecoming shows at Boot and Saddle on September 19th and 20th are now sold out.

Today, we also saw their newest music video for “Same Emotions.” The dramatic video starts off with a vapid group of guys having a typical guys night out. However, things quickly turn supernatural when they start hitting on two women with glowing eyes. The highlight of the video is the great performance by bartender/ vampire pimp by Strand Oaks’ Tom Showalter. Though it may seem kind of strange at first, the horror-show vibe of the video actually complements the music well, drawing out the dark currents of Showalter’s music.

If you didn’t get tickets to the Boot and Saddle show, you can still check out the band on their recently-announced appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers August 11th. Watch the “Same Emotions” video below.
