Get to know Doylestown natives The Regan Brothers, a fun (and dance-worthy) band
It’s getting more and more difficult for bands to not get pigeonholed into a single genre. Creating an original sound can be tough, but indie rock band The Regan Brothers is able keep its songs distinct and create a unique feeling from one to another.
Made up of singer/guitarist Chris Regan, singer/keyboardist Elliot Regan, drummer Erik Regan and bassist Walker Gall, The Regan Brothers are a relatively new band, forming back in 2013, but it already has released two EPs — the most recent one, II, came out last month.
Recorded and produced by Bill Moriarty, the four-track EP is reminiscent of lo-fi baroque pop Dr. Dog, neo-psychedelia Tame Impala and blues rock Jack White. Each track is distinct in its own way from the other ones, but there are small similarities between the tracks that keep them together so that the EP flows. Check out the single, “Mistakes,” below and visit the band’s Bandcamp to download the full EP.
