Philly-based band Forever Lesbians is bringing back the good ol’ days of rock n’ roll when The Beatles and The Kinks dominated the radio waves. Recorded on a Tascam 4 track, Forever Lesbians’s debut album, Sherry, was made for cassette listening, so the tracks have some fuzzy distortion to them. Personally, I don’t mind the fuzziness. It adds to the whole listening experience and gives a sense of authenticity to the album.

There’s no unnecessary flair to Sherry. It’s just really good music. From the beginning to the end, Sherry will keep your attention with its lo-fi, feel good sound, but one of the best tracks off the album is without a doubt “Deathwish//Deathbed.” With its lo-fi melody and singing, this song is like a time machine back to the 1960s — seriously, everything feels like it has a Sierra filter on it. Check out “Deathwish//Deathbed” below. You can download the entire album off of Bandcamp or purchase the cassette tape through Little League Records here.
