Last night Philly’s Strand of Oaks made its television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers with a rousing performance of “Shut In,” a moving song from this year’s critically acclaimed album HEAL. Frontman Tim Showalter played with the same zeal he showed at this year’s XPoNential Music Festival and Free at Noon. However, instead of the unhinged guitar frenzy we saw during his Out of Town Films session, he gave more of a focused, emotional performance for the national TV audience. The backing band of Eliza Hardy-Jones on piano, Mike Sneerenger on drums and Deven Craige on bass was also tight; keep an eye out for Craige’s t-shirt repping his other band, Little Big League.

The band is playing two sold-out shows at Boot and Saddle September 19th and 20th, but tickets are still available for its all-ages show at Delaware’s Arden Gild Hall September 18th. Watch the performance below.
