Free At Noon Flashback: Foxygen brings down the house
Experimental San Francisco rockers Foxygen showed that they were a force to be reckoned with at today’s Free At Noon show. With a packed house, the group played with seemingly-endless energy throughout their set, featuring backup vocalists performing synchronized dances and lead singer Sam France thrashing about the stage to their loud, soulful sound. Jonathan Rado, co-frontman of the group, whipped out tremendous guitar solos with his curly, mop-top head bouncing to the beat. The band came out to promote their highly-anticipated new album …And Starpower, which made up about 50% of today’s performance. The album comes out on Tuesday and will be available via Jagjaguwar Records. The band also has a performance tonight at Union Transfer, so make sure to snag those tickets while they’re still available.
