Crimson Wave | photo by Jeffrey Lash

Baltimore’s Crimson Wave will be in town on November 29th for a show at PhilaMOCA.  Recruited by locals No Other, fans of that band’s deep energy will find a fitting counterpart in Crimson Wave.  The quartet writes low key “bummer pop,” going against the grain of a genre that tends to favor a heavy dose of distortion with tracks that don’t bury their individual components.

Last month’s Say / Calling You 7″ single shows Crimson Wave’s ability to create a fully developed emotional environment within a song, pulling the listener into a gloomy world of unsure love and regret via repeated lyrics and a vocal delivery that is both liberated and defeated.  Listen to the record below, and get more information for the show with Mt Billions and Bike Crash on the Facebook event page here.
