The Fleeting Ends, the three piece power pop and indie rock band featuring Matt Vantine (Vocals, Guitar, Keys), Matt Amadio (Drums, Vocals, Keys), and bassist Russell Langley have called it quits.
In a Facebook post today, they wrote:
After much thought and reflection, us three dudes have decided that our time as The Fleeting Ends must come to a close.
Don’t get the wrong idea. There wasn’t any backstage brawl where Matt A. punched Rusty and Matt V. threw a plate of ham and cheese sandwiches at the both of them. There weren’t any musical differences or personal disagreements. What brought us to this decision is rather simple: in order to keep our friendships and to find happiness as individuals, each of us must find his own way.
The Fleeting Ends recently released a new single, “Can’t Say No,” and celebrated with a record release party at Milkboy. The band started in 2008 and their love of many things pop, including XTC, Spoon, and Elvis Costello, influenced their well crafted songs. The band played WXPN’s XPoNential Music Festival in 2013 and toured extensively that year, including a stop at SXSW.
We’ve all been big fans of the band and their music since they started, and their recent single, “Can’t Say No,” has been featured on WXPN extensively the last few months.
We wish both Matt A., Matt V., and Rusty all the best. Below, download the latest music from the band.
