Listen to the The Districts’ vibrant new single “Peaches”
For indie rock and alternative fans, The Districts‘ newest album A Flourish and A Spoil can’t come soon enough. With yesterday’s release of their single “Peaches,” we get a glimpse of what to expect. Beginning with a slow guitar strum, it quickly sheds any idea of a somber ballad and jumpstarts into a creative, emotional, and vibrant piece of work. Full of sound with many working parts that make up its infectious and acoustic nature (none of which seem to clash at all) we get a well thought out, nearly four-minute track that leaves us curious on what this band has in store. Due out February 10th, A Flourish and a Spoil also gave us another single, “4th and Roebling,” which is different in feel but equally as satisfying.
Upon its release, the single “Peaches” gained the attention of notable Late Night host Jimmy Fallon, as he took to his show’s personal Tumblr to share the record and promote The Districts upcoming album. The Districts plays its Philadelphia album release party at Union Transfer on Valentine’s Day; tickets and information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
