Indie rock duo Tigers Jaw announced a U.S. spring tour that opens April Fool’s Day in Cambridge, Mass. and wraps up in Philly on May 8th at Union Transfer. The tour comes in support of the Scranton natives’ June 2014 release of Charmer, the band’s third album. Singer / keyboard player Brianna Collins and singer / guitarist Ben Walsh have taken Tigers Jaw on as essentially a duo project after Adam McIlwee, Dennis Mishko, and Pat Brier left in March 2013; however, they’ve had friends from various other bands like Make Do and Mend, Balance and Composure and Sainthood Reps fill out the lineup for tour.

Joining them for the month-long run will be Buffalo indie-pop three-piece Lemuria, and Boston pop punk band Somos (even though vocalist and bassist of Somos, Michael Fiorentino announced last week via Facebook that they would be taking a break from the road due to anxiety and depression issues).

The May 8th Union Transfer show is all ages, begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance; the show goes on sale Jan. 16 at 10 a.m.
