It’s always great when a handful of Philly bands come together to collaborate. But it’s even greater when this collaboration is fueled for a good cause.

The upcoming Strength in Weakness EP, due out on Lame-O Records, is the product of original tracks from six Philly bands: Spraynard, The Weaks, Modern Baseball, Marietta, Beach Slang and Hurry. Album proceeds will be donated to both the Philadelphia chapter of United Cerebral Palsy as well as the national branch. Although 500 exclusive vinyl copies of the album sold out in eight hours, it’s  available for pre-order via Lame-O’s Bandcamp, with the full release date set for Feb. 3.

The newest release, “Shake it Off,” (not a Taylor Swift cover) comes from local indie rock three-piece, Hurry. Check out the track via Hurry’s in-studio interview below.
