Northern Liberties Winter Music Festival returns to The Fire next week with Marshall Allen, Joie Kathos and more
The annual Northern Liberties Winter Music Festival will take over The Fire next week from February 10th to the 15th. Over two dozen bands will perform during the six days, representing up-and-coming local acts and exciting national projects.
Sun Ra Arkestra’s Marshall Allen will jump-start the festival on the opening night, aided by a Bardo Pond side-project called Alumbrados. Wednesday, February 11th will feature all locals, with sets from Shorty Boy-Boy, Roof Doctor, Family Vacation and more.
The following night presents a novelty showcase of tributes to quintessential 90s bands with help from Old Scratch, Anjuli Josephine, Abi Reimold and others.
Two new releases will be celebrated on the 13th, with Chalk & The Beige Americans putting their debut LP on vinyl and Ill Fated Natives dropping their debut EP Savages.
Valentine’s Day brings some of our favorite discoveries of 2014 to the stage, including Joie Kathos, Halfro and Jacqueline Constance, while Legs Like Tree Trunks, Seoul Delhi and more will close everything up on the 15th.
