Alt-rockers Divers to play Johnny Brenda’s for album release show

Local indie garage rock group Divers made a splash with their debut single in 2012, and just wrapped production on Holding Bodies, the debut LP they will celebrate at Johnny Brenda’s on April 11. The band features Emily Ana Zeitlyn (formerly from the soul-rock group The Weeds) on vocals while scene regulars Ross Bellenoit, Todd Erk and Tom Bender join as her backing band.

The album was cut mostly live at Turtle Studios in South Philly and captures the raw energy and personal lyrics we heard in their Key Studio Session in 2013. The show will also feature sets from Philly dance rock sextet Louds, who are currently working on their debut EP, and Brooklyn-based folk group Hawk and Dove.
