Creepoid is moving back to Philadelphia, headlining Underground Arts on 4/23
When they played SXSW, we noticed that even though Creepoid moved to Savannah a year or so ago, they still introduced their set by saying “We’re Creepoid, we’re from Philly.”
It was telling, then, since the band left the south yesterday to re-settle back home; they’ll play a homecoming show at Underground Arts on Thursday, April 23rd.
“Our plan was never to stay in Savannah forever,” drummer Pat Troxell tells us. “We just avoided winter, wrote / demoed / recorded a full length and signed to a label.”
Their new album, Cemetery Highrise Slum, is out on June 23rd via Collect Records, and the single “American Smile” hits loud and hard – give it a listen here.
“We are ready to come back and destroy Philly,” Troxell says. “Stoked.”
The April 23rd show at the Underground Arts black box includes Gondola and Void Vision, and tickets are on sale now; more information can be found here. Below, listen to “American Smile.”
