Ominous, dark and different, Zachary Fairbrother‘s track “The Strawman” is something listeners of his band Lantern should get familiar with.  Fairbrother’s first solo effort caught the ear of Tiny Mix Tapes this week for the content and substance, as well as the range it shows from his band – which is louder and more aggressive. With guitar strums and monotone synthesizers setting the tone, Fairbrother’s haunting track seems to be stemming from quite a somber place, showing through in lyrics like “In the end it doesn’t matter what you say or do.”  Check out “The Strawman” below.
