It seems the more we hear Kate Faust, the more her sound grows. With huge leaps forward from her Crucial Companion EP, This years Eros could infact be her breakout project.

The first single off the EP, “In Bloom,” is as sensual as it is provocative. On Facebook, she jokingly lists her genre as “sex music,” but it’s not an inaccurate description Even so, Faust has demonstrated that she is way more than that, with a knack for instrumental arrangement and a booming voice. She has the ability to command a track with her voice alone, and with that, nothing seems out of reach. If “In Bloom” is any indication of what we could get, we’re eager to see Faust take that step into the next stage of her career.

Her new EP Eros can be preordered here, and you can catch her live this Tuesday, April 21st, at Johnny Brenda’s. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
