Cheerleader’s debut album, The Sunshine of Your Youth, is slated for release on May 19 via Bright Antenna Records, but fans are rejoicing to see that the album in its entirety is streaming over at SPIN.

The five-piece conquers both power and haze pop on the LP, with either bursts of vibrant guitar riffs or the potential soundtrack to the setting sun. On “Little Bird,” Joe Haller croons like he’s singing a lullaby, in contrast to the party anthem title-track.

Back in September, Cheerleader recorded three tracks for a Studio Session with The Key. It’s great to catch the little differences between the live/album version of the tracks, like how the opening of “Do What You Want” is replaced with eager whistling, proving that The Sunshine of Your Youth is the perfect summertime soundtrack.
