502 South’s Philly Rock Comp | via 502south.bandcamp.com

DIY culture is an integral aspect of any music scene. In fact, most cities would not have worthwhile music without it. Show space 502 South is doing their part to promote the best of Philly’s DIY with their Philly Rock Compilations. Each year they take submissions from punk rock and indie acts in the greater Philadelphia area to release a free record that highlights the scene. Last year’s compilation featured songs from Honah Lee, Pulling Punches, and pop-punks Welter.

502 South is now accepting submissions now until June 13th for the third volume of their compilation. All interested parties are welcome to email a MP3 with a short bio to be considered. Check out last year’s compilation below.
