Five stone cold classics to get you psyched to see Diana Ross at The Mann this fall
Looking for a legend to see in the fall? Diana Ross, of The Supremes fame, is coming to The Mann Center on September 20th. The lead singer of the most influential music group in Motown history visits Philadelphia this September and tickets go on sale this Friday, July 17th, at The Mann Center’s website.
The tour date is one of a number of stops along Ross’ In The Name of Love Tour, which included stops in both Americas as well as Asia. This is her second show at The Mann in the past year; played here last June, as part of the same tour. How big is this tour for the legendary singer you ask? She’s been on the road since June of 2013. Keep in mind this is at 71 years old!
With 25 studio albums to her name and a litany of hits, you don’t need me to tell you that Diana Ross is a household name. Did I mention that I’m only referring to her solo career? With The Supremes, Ross and co. sung their way to 12 number one hits, with only The Beatles rivaling them in worldwide popularity. Do you need any more reason to get tickets this Friday for the show in September? I’ve compiled five of the best Supremes/Diana Ross songs below to get your pipes warmed up for Diana coming in the fall. Tickets and more information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
Diana Ross – “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”
