BC Camplight releases video for new single “Grim Cinema”
Philly-via-Manchester outfit BC Camplight has released the video for “Grim Cinema”, the new single off this year’s How to Die in the North. The project’s first release in eight years, BC – aka Brian Christinzio – had spent the past three years in the north of England working on the album he had always dreamt of. The record draws heavily upon his overall feelings over life choices and regret that sometimes goes along with that, but the upbeat and poppy sounds of the album make the introspection a great listen.
“Grim Cinema” is the third single released from the new LP, and Christinzio believes it to be the best on the album. The song is a poppy infusion of lo-fi rock set to easily the oddest collection of old movie and television footage that I have ever seen. As you would expect, it’s some good ol’ fashioned nonsense. With that being said, the song is of course great, as is the album, which I highly recommend you check out on his website, iTunes, or Spotify. You can check out the (slightly NSFW) video below.
