Folk rockers and Chester County natives Tin Bird Choir have released a video for their cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Sway” just in time for their upcoming show at Burlap and Bean Coffee this Friday and their set at Philly Folk Fest next month. These guys have been around the Philly folk scene for what feel like forever, but with good reason: they’re great. Don’t believe me? Why don’t you check out their Key Studio Session they did last Christmas.

With this new video the Hurlocks and co. deliver a phenomenal Stones cover set to a black and white video that by all means sways. Tin Bird Choir bring a completely revamped alt-folk sound to the table, with vocal harmonies that bring listeners in, and instrumental breakdowns that keep them there. It’s been a little while since they’ve released an album, but 2013’s Homesteady is the perfect consummation of their style. You can check it out on their Bandcamp page.

I highly suggest you go check them out at Burlap and Bean Coffee on Friday (check out the Facebook event page for more info) and while you’re at it you might as well grab tickets to the Philly Folk Fest (link above) if you would like to see a ton of great folk artists. In the meantime, check out Tin Bird Choir’s new video for “Sway” below.
