Stream the new Work Drugs album Louisa
Philly yacht-rockers and 80s devotees Work Drugs have already shared with us a handful of new songs from their new album Louisa. They officially release the album this Friday, August 7th, however you can now stream the full album.
Louisa was recorded in Salmon Street Studios in Port Richmond, during January and February of 2015. Maxfield Gast plays saxophone on “True Romance” and “The Diamond Life.” Jen Pauge of Vita and the Woolf appears as a guest vocalist on “In Dreams.” Dan Callahan sings lead vocals on “Just like the Wind,” and Fabian Brown added saxaphone on “In Dreams.”
Joining Work Drugs’ primary members Thomas Crystal and Benjamin Louisiana on the album is Nero Catalano, a longtime member of their live band who added additional instrumentation over many of the tracks.
The band put together an awesome Spotify playlist of album influences with songs from Tears For Fears, Tom Petty, ELO, Chris Rea, Danny Wilson, George Benson, Michael McDonald, Mike + The Mechanics, Isley, Jasper, Isley, and more that serves as a fun companion to Louisa.
