Listen to Lushlife’s “refix” of Tame Impala’s “Nangs” via BBC6
BBC6 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs debuted a new Lushlife “refix” of Tame Impala‘s song “Nangs” over the weekend. The original track can be found on the Australian band’s latest Currents LP.
Opening with an audio clip of Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker talking about lucid dreams, Lushlife goes on to rap over the swirling, cinematic composition with introspective rhymes.
From Lushlife:
Yeah, Tame Impala’s Currents was one of the LPs I’ve been hyped for all year. Once it came out, I found myself mumbling rhymes to the largely instrumental album-cut, ‘Nangs.’ That compulsion turned into a start-to-finish overnight session a few weeks ago, recontextualizing the joint as though it had always been a golden-era neck-snapper
