VuHaus FirstVu Exclusive: Watch Beirut perform “No No No” via KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic

This Friday, September 11th, Beirut releases its highly anticipated album, No No No. It’s the fourth full length studio album from Zach Condon and his band, and the first collection of new studio material from Beirut since 2011’s Rip Tide.

No No No was informed by Condon’s hospitalization for exhaustion, his divorce and his convalescence from the physical and spiritual wounds back in his Brooklyn home. It’s also the least ornate of his records, relying on piano, drums, and bass; there are fewer horns than heard on his previous records. That doesn’t detract from his previous body of work, though. If anything, the songs are still “classic” Beirut, albeit stripped down to the essence of the song and Condon’s voice.
