There’s an undeniable sexiness to Son Little‘s music, whether you’re talking about the racing hit “The River” – which, it doesn’t take a lot of decoding to figure out what he’s talking about there – or just the cool, sultry, groove-oriented vibe that permeates his debut LP, out next month on Anti- Records.

Today, Son Little (offstage name: Aaron Livingston) premiered a new music video via Vibe, and it is indeed vibey – set to the swooning, romantic “Lay Down,” it follows Livingston and a leading lady on a country getaway. He tells Vibe:

“I wrote this song lying in bed with my lady, listening to the tea kettle whistle. I think about how complicated our lives are, all the ones and zeros distract us from what we really need and want. Sometimes I just want to take your love and hide.

Watch “Lay Down” below, and look for the self-titled record when it drops on October 16th; preorders are available here. Son Little headlines Johnny Brenda’s on Friday, November 13th; tickets and more information on the 21+ show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
