The Sixties, The Yetis rep Philly on the November Communion Music lineup
Just last week we reported on the Communion Philadelphia’s October showcase which featured such awesome bands as Secret Someones, Darla and Mr. Sampson. The folks over at Communion Music continue the monthly event with a just-announced November lineup featuring up and coming bands from around the east coast – including some local acts.
Landsdale’s own The Sixties will bring their undeniably rocking sound to the stage for the showcase in what promises to be an awesome set. The Sixties recently released the single, “Everything” which was produced by the talented Ace Enders of The Early November.
Fellow local group The Yetis play alternative rock with a surf rock tinge lurking below the surface. Simple, yet undeniably catchy hooks easily accessible and overwhelming enjoyable listening experience. The Yetis are also completely homegrown, composed of Temple students from Allentown, which begs the question, what’s not to like?
Indie-pop quartet And The Kids hail from Massachusetts and create some truly catchy and nuanced indie rock. The band is quickly garnering attention after the release of their debut album, Turn To Each Other this year and have even appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series — which you can check out below. Make sure to give their album a listen and check their set out during November’s Communion Philly showcase.
Highly Suspect, from Cape Cod plays some downright bluesy rock. Clad in leather jacket and heavily tattooed, Highly Suspect as an attitude to match. Their live performance will have you stomping your feet and band your head in no time, that is a promise.
The Communion Philadelphia November showcase hits MilkBoy on Friday, November 6th beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now so head here so you don’t miss any of these quickly-rising bands in action.
