It’s been a Philly minute since we last heard from Philly rapper S.T.S. when he and RJD2 collaborated on STS X RJD2 last Spring. He’s back in full effect on a new song, “Hip-Hop Raised Me,” with support from Truck North and Jordan Brown.
The new song from S.T.S., DJ BearOne, Jordan Brown and Truck North begins with a plea: “Somebody in the house say ‘yeah.’ If you really like to rock the funky beats, somebody in the house say ‘hell yeah.’
Hell Yeah. If you were raised on hip-hop this is your jam.
S.T.S along with DJ BearOne hit all the right grooves on “Hip-Hop Raised Me.” With shout outs to Cool C, Steady B, Jay Z, Kool G, Public Enemy, Dre, and Red Alert, it’s a tribute to the past as it leads to the future.
