Philly rapper Dewey Decibel has just released a new video for his song “Ashtray,” the first track off his forthcoming EP Sub Cult.

The video follows Dewey Decibel and fellow rapper/collaborator Rone, who is featured on the track, as they bike, drive, and casually cruise throughout Philadelphia, taking occasional breaks to smoke a certain illicit substance.

The song itself mirrors this laid-back vibe with its minimalist, repeating four-note piano beat. The track bears a strong resemblance to the stripped-down, playful tracks of the Brooklyn hip-hop icons Digable Planets, and indeed Dewey Decibel’s flow contains a thinly-veiled shout out to the group (“Hands point to the Big Dipper / enhancing your understanding / My planets are digable”).

Watch the smoke-infused video below, and make sure to check out Sub Cult when it drops on November 27th.
