PREMIERE: Aspiga contribute “I’ll Make You Believe” to Arbor Christmas comp
The annual Arbor Christmas compilation and variety show have long been a point of anticipation for fans of South Jersey’s alternative music community. Nearly a dozen bands contribute original seasonal songs to the benefit album each year, while co-founder Mike Maier works tirelessly with his crew of variety show organizers to continue something that has become a holiday tradition for so many people.
Now in its sixteenth iteration, this year’s festivities will take place on December 19th in Haddon Township, NJ and December 20th in Collingswood, NJ with live bands, sketch comedy and food. Joining the compilation line-up for the fourth time are alt-punk outfit Aspiga with “I’ll Make You Believe.”
Recorded by David Downham at Haddon Heights’ Gradwell House, “I’ll Make You Believe” is a true pop-punk holiday song. Aspiga pummel through the monotony of the rest of the year with jingle bells and references to the North Pole and Christmas lists, latching onto the brief respite and glimmer of hope this season offers, even if just for a few days.
