Listen to Burned Out Still Glowing’s new “Walkinghorse,” see them all around Philly this month
Philly alt-rock trio Burned Out Still Glowing is getting set to release its IndieGoGo-funded EP Image is Imaginary on January 1st, and teased the collection recently with the release of lead-off track “Walkinghorse.” The song starts at a quiet-as-a-kitten note reminiscent of Photo Album-era Death Cab, then builds exceptionally over four minutes into an atmospheric emo catharsis. Of the EP, the band says “We believe that the world is not to be taken at face value. There is a bottom to every ocean, and it’s up to you to explore it.”
The band plays a bunch of shows around Philly over the next few weeks, beginning this Saturday, December 26th at the Home Forever Collective Winter Jam at Haddonfield’s Grace Church. They’ll also play Boot and Saddle on Wednesday, December 30th and are slated to open for Dynacid at Ortlieb’s on January 16th. Listen to “Walkinghorse” below.
