Former Belle‘s Bruno Catrambone has been busy touring and recording with Cruisr, but he’s earmarked some alone time this winter to work on his own new material. The local singer-songwriter gave us a preview of what’s to come with his recent In the Library session, performing a pair of new songs in the intimate, book-filled room.

Before the holidays we heard Catrambone cover an Elliott Smith song. That musical lineage is evident once again in “I Woke Up in Chicago” and “If I See You Again,” the poignant, hushed songs also recalling Bright Eyes and High Highs. Bruno says he can’t share much more about his upcoming project at this time, but these videos are more than enough to hold you over. Watch “If I See You Again” below and check out the full session here.
