Please don’t watch the new Animal Collective video if you are prone to seizures
The video for Animal Collective‘s song “FloriDada,” a bizarro blender of pop music pointillism, opens with a disclaimer. “Viewer discretion is advised – the video has been identified to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.” And while I would argue that the band’s new website design is perhaps more likely to have adverse effects on viewers (warning: click with caution), the video is no less tripped out. It’s got bright neon colors, swirling animation, and imagery reminiscent of a health class on acid.
Check it out below, and keep your eyes out for Animal Collective’s new Painting With LP, out February 19th on Domino Records. The band kicks off its winter tour with a sold-out Union Transfer show on release day.
