As if we weren’t enamored enough by Abi Reimold’s solo full length debut album, Wriggling, we’ve got a new EP from a band she’s in, Fake Boyfriend with her pals Ashley Tryba on guitar & vocals, and Sarah Myers on bass and vocals.

The EP is an intense four song collection of rock and roll and was engineered and produced by Jake Ewald of Modern Baseball. Reimold, who sings and plays drums on the EP told Stereogum, who premiered the EP, that the songs “are about giving in to your feelings and learning how to forgive yourself,” and serve as a “retaliation against the preconceived notions of how women are supposed to behave and process emotions.”

Fake Boyfriend have a few shows coming up; this Friday, February 26th they have their EP release at PhilaMOCA, and appear next at Bourbon & Branch on April 2nd, and at Boot & Saddle on April 13th.
