1964 – The Beatles finish recording “Can’t Buy Me Love” at Abbey Road Studios in London as well as the B-side, “You Can’t Do That,” and another new song, “I Should Have Known Better.”

1977 – The Jam sign with Polydor Records UK.

1995 – Frank Sinatra gives his last live performance. It is at a private party for 1,200 select guests on the closing night of the Frank Sinatra Desert Classic golf tournament. Last song? “The Best is Yet to Come.”

2010 – Apple announces that it has surpassed 10 billion song downloads from the iTunes Store. The 10 billionth song was “Guess Things Happen That Way” by Johnny Cash.
