Mitski announces new album, will play two shows in Philadelphia
After the success of her 2014 LP Bury Me at Makeout Creek, Mitski signed to Dead Oceans and started work on a follow-up. The just-announced Puberty 2 will be the Brooklyn musician’s fourth LP and comes with an international tour that stops twice in Philly: a 21+ show at Boot & Saddle on June 23rd and an all-ages show at PhilaMOCA on June 24th.
“Your Best American Girl” is the incredibly striking first single from Puberty 2, showcasing Mitski’s cutting insight into the dynamics of relationships and why they sometimes don’t work out.
