Think of it as crossing the road: Abi Reimold has released a new music video for her song “Mask” from her recent release, Wriggling.

The video, which was directed by Jay Miller, portrays Reimold as she goes through her day from two different perspectives: one where she floats through a menial existence, and the another where she dons a chicken suit to act out and break shit. The video reflects the song’s themes of identity, anxiety, and hiding in plain sight. It begs the question, what came first: the music or the misery?

Reimold will be performing with a full band at Johnny Brenda’s on March 15th with Curtis Cooper, Emmett Drueding, and Julia Rainer (which we named one of The Key’s “Can’t Miss” shows for the month of March). She’ll be back at JBs on April 28th for her album release party. More information can be found via the XPN Concert Calendar.

Wriggling is out now on Sad Cactus. Watch Abi Reimold’s video for “Mask” below.
