Son Little brings the blues to the party in new video for “Toes”
Philly soulman Son Little (aka Aaron Livingston) has just shared the video for “Toes”, the most recent single from his self-titled debut record, via Pitchfork.
Livingston has been up to some big things recently, from going on tour with Leon Bridges (they brought down The Fillmore last month), to collaborating with RJD2 again on his new record, Dame Fortune. His wide range of influences create a unique version of soul-inflected blues rock, especially on songs such as “O Mother” and the aforementioned “Toes.”
In the video for “Toes”, Livingston is shown hanging out with Entourage actor Rhys Coiro (the crazy, drugged-out director who got Pablo Escobar tattooed across his back) while the two pass a joint back and forth and run into alternate versions of themselves at a bar. Livingston seems to be really diving into his Son Little persona, especially when he sings about “alter egos” and losing himself.
Son Little’s self titled record is out now via ANTI Records. Watch Son Little’s video for “Toes” below.
