Good Old War, Gabriel Garzón-Montano and The Morelings vibe out at WXPN’s Red Bull Sound Select Show
Chill vibes all around as Good Old War, Gabriel Garzón-Montano and The Morelings performed at The Foundry at The Fillmore on Thursday for the latest Red Bull Sound Select show curated by WXPN.
The Morelings started the night off with some psychedelic tunes, which we recently heard when they visited for a Key Studio Session. Their spacey sounds filled the room as the crowd bobbed their heads and swayed to the music. Gabriel Garzón-Montano then switched it up, giving the night an R&B twist. Joined by a percussionist, Garzón-Montano played keys. The acoustic set really showcased his strong vocals, and he performed songs off of his EP Bishouné: Alma del Hula, including his song “6 8,” which was sampled by Drake Last but not least, Good Old War took the stage as Keith Goodwin led vocals and Dan Schwartz on guitar. Fans were up close and personal against the barrier in front of the intimate stage as the duo performed their folk-pop love ballads.
