NOEMA release new cassette, playing Gallery 1816 next week
Noema, the project from guitarist Pete Joe Urban (formerly of Creepoid), have announced the release of Former Selves and Future Void, a new cassette on 1980 Records.
Noema creates ambient post-rock through meditative guitar drones and exploratory instrumentation. Urban’s first release with Noema was 2015’s Thought Brings Presence. Former Selves is an expansion of Noema’s sound with more layered tones and black-metal influences.
Urban will be bringing Noema’s haze to Gallery 1816 next week on Thursday, March 24th. Also performing will be the Ross Hammond/Sameer Gupta duo and Mitch Esparza. For tickets and more information, check out the XPN Concert Calender.
Former Selves and Future Void is out now via 1980 Records. Listen to “False Ascension” from Former Selves by Noema below.
