Here’s a sample of what’s coming up this Monday night at 8pm on our New Music Show:

“Black Man In A White World” by MICHAEL KIWANUKA

Michael Kiwanuka is an artist, in every definition of the word. More than just another soul revivalist, Kiwanuka is a melting pots of sounds who returns inspired on a new album, Love & Hate.  He’s effectively poignant and finds a groove on this first track back “Black Man In A White World”.

“The Three Of Me” by WILLIAM BELL

A Stax legend, William Bell surprises us with a new album this summer. This Is Where I Live comes out on June 3rd, his first major release in decades.  Produced by Grammy winner John Leventhal, the first song we’ve heard “The Three of Me” is wonderfully arranged and Bell’s voice is pure sweetness.  Hear for yourself:

First Impression Artist: MO KENNEY

Canadian singer-songwriter MO KENNEY comes to us with an under-the-radar release that definitely deserves your ears. In My Dreams is the album, and we’ll dig in tonight.  Her version of the song “Telephones” is an instant earworm, guaranteed to make you hit the repeat button.  Pretty fun video too – check it out:
