Let Younger Me take you to the beach on “We Will Never Wash Away”

York psychedelic-pop trio Younger Me has been on our radar for a couple years now, and last week they released their new single, “We Will Never Wash Away”, which premiered over at A Music Blog, Yeah?

On “We Will Never Wash Away”, the band mixes Aja-era Steely Dan with the flavor and instrumentational weirdness of the newer Man Man records, creating something that sounds like Passion Pit playing smooth jazz-rock. Vocalist Brent Gregory’s harmonic vocals carry over the band’s rhythmic shifting while highlighting the beautiful sound of that Rhodes.
