Here’s a sample of what’s coming up Monday night at 8pm on our New Music Show:

“Ancient Jules” by STEVE GUNN

For all you guitar enthusiasts out there, if you don’t know Steve Gunn you should. The New York based songwriter and guitarist was an all-instrumentalist but has begun to add vocals to his music (which we enjoy quite a bit). Steve readies a new album for the beginning of June called Eyes Of The Lines, here’s our first taste of what’s to come:

“Don’t Need It” by SERATONES

Plain and simple, Seratones are a band that’s tough to resist. Dynamic frontwoman AJ Haynes lead this band from Shreveport, Louisiana.  They bring a rock edge, and a lot of soul on this one called “Don’t Need It” – have a listen:

First Impression Artist: XENIA RUBINOS

It would be no surprise to hear that the list of influences for Xenia Rubinos is a vast. Her music is wonderfully ambitious, taking turns from R&B to rock to jazz.  Of Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage, Rubinos now resides in Brooklyn and has finished her first album Black Terry Cat.  It comes out June 3rd and tonight we’ll spotlight her as our First Impression Artist.
