Oxymorrons playing Boot & Saddle with Dewey Decible on May 31st
The New York based Oxymorrons are one of those bands whose musical sound is hard to pin down, which, is a great thing. Formed by Queens brothers K.I. and Deee, they’re fans of all kinds of music, and they distill it down to a singular voice on their own original music. Formed in 2008, you’ll hear elements of hip-hop, rock, and alternative music in their music.
The group are currently at work on their EP, and recently released a new single, “I Feel Better.” Along with the two brothers out front, the band includes drummer Matty Mayz, guitarist Adam November, and bassist Joe Jordan. Jordan, from Philly, is an amazing musician who also fronts his own band, Joe Jordans Experiment. If you’re a fan of Living Colour, the Beasties, Outkast and newer musicians like Raury, then you should check out these guys out. They know no musical boundaries.
Below, listen to their new single “I Feel Better,” a swinging, super melodic slice of rhythmic pop music.
They play Boot & Saddle Tuesday, May 31st with Philly rapper, DJ and artist Dewey Decibel and Philly’s Fidel Sun. Go to the XPN Concert Calendar for tickets and more information about the show.
